Going New York: Art After Midnight
This is a weekly D.A.N.C.E. party on Thursday nights at Gallery Bar by DJ's Chris Alker, and Sushi Steve. The night seamlessly merges art, music, and dancing in a way that seems to have been lost from the LES.
A pop-art exhibit by: Lucas Stoffell, entitled "Made in Taiwan," is currently gracing the walls of the Gallery Bar.
And if you haven't been to Gallery Bar in the L.E.S., you have to check it out. They just celebrated their one year anniversary and it is by far one of the hottest new additions to the area, the venue is an art gallery by that day morphs into a bar/lounge for great DJs and cocktails at sundown. A wide open dance floor, friendly bartenders, and the infamous photo booth make this spot perfect for an impromptu dance party.
